Luciana Tomozei Schwandt

Head of Global Affairs & Sectoral Policies Division, EIB

Luciana Tomozei Schwandt was appointed Head of the Global affairs and Sectoral policies division at the Permanent Representation of the EIB in Brussels in July 2023. Prior to that she was a member of cabinet for EIB President Hoyer for four years, advising the President on EU affairs, ECOFIN Council and preparing the governing bodies meetings.

She held previous roles within EIB Headquarters and Permanent Representation in Brussels, being in particular responsible for the Juncker plan/ EFSI negotiations (including its successor InvestEU) from the EIB Brussels office. Prior to that, Ms. Tomozei Schwandt coordinated the work on the EIB SME policy and product development inside the EU and microfinance activities outside the EU. She contributed to several EIB research studies on financial inclusion and mobile finance in the MENA region.

Ms. Tomozei Schwandt has over 15 years of experience in economic and financial affairs within the EU institutional environment. Prior to joining the EIB, she worked with Brussels-based organisations, advising on economic affairs and the impact of regulation on business.

Ms. Tomozei Schwandt holds a MA in European Economics from the College of Europe, Bruges.
