Matija Gatalo is co-founder and CEO of ‘Future100 Slovenia’ company ReCatalyst, developing a nanotechnology platform for next-generation catalysts across hydrogen and other industrial applications.

Timotej Vitez is Head of U.S. Market Development and Strategic Partnerships at MESI, where he leads the commercial development of integrated diagnostic solutions within the U.S. healthcare ecosystem. In the medtech industry, he connects technological innovation with market opportunities at the intersection of Europe and the United States.

In his current role, he is responsible for building the sales organization, establishing strategic partnerships with distributors, industry partners, and key customers, and overseeing the overall development of the U.S. market and new business opportunities.

Previously, he was responsible for developing multiple markets across Europe and beyond, as well as managing sales operations, including ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and optimizing sales processes and supply chains in an international environment.

Timotej is an active member of the medtech community, regularly participating in industry events and appearing in specialist media and podcasts, where he discusses topics such as integrated diagnostics, preventive healthcare, and the commercialization of medical devices.

Borut Jamnik is an experienced professional with more than two decades of expertise in the financial sector, insurance, and corporate governance. His career includes a pioneering role in establishing Slovenia’s first pension fund, which made an important contribution to the development of the country’s capital and insurance markets. He continued his career at Kapitalska družba, where he first served as Deputy Member of the Management Board and later, during two terms (2003–2005 and 2008–2011), as President of the Management Board.

He also held senior positions at Hit and Probanka, and in 2011 took over the management of Modra zavarovalnica, Slovenia’s largest pension fund management company. His responsibilities included asset management, compliance, planning, controlling, strategic communications, legal affairs, and human resources.

His career has also included membership on the supervisory boards of numerous companies, including Telekom Slovenije, Pivovarna Laško, Zavarovalnica Triglav, NLB, Luka Koper, Žito, Krka, Nova KBM, and others. Between 2012 and 2020, he served as President of the Slovenian Directors’ Association, where he actively contributed to improving corporate governance standards in Slovenia.

Today, as President of the Management Board of SID Bank, he leads key projects shaping the future of Slovenia’s financial sector.

Roswita Golčer Hrastnik is the Executive Director of BioSistemika, a company she has been leading for more than ten years. BioSistemika is an interdisciplinary BIO-IT company that originated as a spin-out of the National Institute of Biology and is one of Slovenia’s leading companies in the development of advanced and sustainable software solutions for laboratories.

Through its services and products, the company collaborates with biotechnology companies, scientific institutions, and universities across international markets. An important part of the company’s development is also its investment in its own research and development projects and products, such as SciNote, which now operates as an independent company; GeneBlink, a new platform for the analysis of diagnostic qPCR data; and DATANA, an innovative project focused on developing technology for storing digital data in DNA.

Dr. Aleš Pustovrh holds a PhD in Open Innovation from the University of Ljubljana (2014), where he continues to research innovation ecosystems, entrepreneurship, emerging business models, and the commercialization of new technologies. Alongside his academic work, he has built extensive hands-on experience in startup acceleration, venture building, and venture capital across Central, Eastern, and Southeast Europe. He was among the founders of the ABC Accelerator, one of the leading startup accelerators in the region, and in 2019 became a Partner at Fil Rouge Capital (FRC), one of the leading early-stage venture capital funds in Southeast Europe with over EUR 100 million in assets under management, where he also manages the FRC Accelerator. Through ABC and FRC, he has worked with and supported more than 300 founders, participated in the development and delivery of 24 accelerator and entrepreneurship programmes, and contributed to investment processes that have resulted in more than 170 startup investments and tens of millions of euros deployed into innovative ventures. His work combines academic insight with practical experience in helping startups achieve a product-markets fit, raise investment, scale internationally, and build sustainable growth-oriented businesses.

Maja Tomanič Vidovič, MSc, is the Director of the Slovene Enterprise Fund (SEF), which she has led since 2007. She has extensive experience in entrepreneurship, financing and investment, as well as in cooperation with national and European financial institutions. She is also active internationally, including as a member of the CEFoF Advisory Board and the EIF-NPI Equity Platform. Throughout her career, she has worked in the fields of economic development, entrepreneurship policy, and support for small and medium-sized enterprises.

Dr. Iztok Kramberger is the co-founder and Chief Innovation Officer of SkyLabs and an Associate Professor at the University of Maribor. For more than two decades, he has dedicated his work to the development of advanced electronic systems and space technologies, while fostering stronger links between academia and industry. He initiated and led the development of the Slovenian nanosatellites TRISAT, TRISAT-R, and TRISAT-S, which have given rise to numerous technological solutions that are now making their way onto the international space market. At SkyLabs, he leads the development of new generations of high-performance, energy-efficient, and resilient space systems.

Igor Milek serves as the national representative on the Programme Committee for the European Innovation Council (EIC) under the Horizon Europe programme. He works at the SPIRIT Slovenia, public agency within the Entrepreneurship Promotion Department, where he is involved in various activities related to the Slovenian innovation ecosystem. He previously served as the National Contact Point (NCP) for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) under Horizon 2020, and currently acts as the NCP for the European Innovation Council, European Innovation Ecosystems, and the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT) under Horizon Europe. He is also active in fostering international connections for SPIRIT Slovenia within various networks focused on entrepreneurship and innovation. Igor holds a PhD in Biotechnology from the University of Ljubljana.

Nina Remškar is a member of the Management Board of IEDC – Bled School of Management, where she is responsible for strategic partnerships and projects and leads the development of Future 500, a strategic initiative designed to support high-potential European companies in their growth and internationalization.
Before joining IEDC, she served as an adviser in the Office of the Minister of Health. Prior to that, she spent more than two decades working at Roche and MSD.
Her work brings together the private sector, public institutions, and international organizations, turning strategic ideas into concrete initiatives and partnerships.

Dr Mladen Tošić is Senior Advisor at IEDC – Bled School of Management, where he leads the development of the school’s custom programmes and solutions for companies. He spent twelve years at Bain & Company, where he led strategy, transformation and growth projects across Europe, the Middle East and Australia, worked with private equity funds and their portfolio companies, and helped establish the firm’s digital marketing practice.
